In a nutshell.

My photo
I want to see beneath the ocean and above the sky. For now I'll share the in between.

Taking the next exit off this blogspot but will come back once I've figured out how and where exactly I'm going. Not always completely happy with what I post and if this is going to show my 'work' I may as well do it properly.

In the mean time Sweet Bird of Youth is where I like to rant on about how tough life is.
"Oh great you're one of those bloggers".
No, wait, stop!
Ok so blogging does occasionally make me believe I have the right to bask in my own feelings of confusion and melancholy but really it's not all doom and gloom - you'll mostly just find the prettiest of pretty pictures that would otherwise just float around my harddrive.
Life is good. La dolce vita or whatever those cool people say.

This is the very pretty Katelyn.

I'm not sure that I love what I've done to the first one but enjoying playing around with some shots from spontaneous shoot last week in Bellevue Hill. We caught the last 10 minutes of sun in the park and used what clothes were in the boot of my car.

Trying to get my head around being home amongst various other things has left me updating far less than I would like.
See above for frequent posting until I'm back in the swing of (blogging)things.

P.S...if anyone in Sydney wants to shoot anything at all let me know ASAP. I have paid my rent for the next couple of weeks therefore am giving myself time to play and edit. Your room, face, outfits, art work. Anything. EMAIL ME. Don't be afraid.

I have a long list of things I'm going to do when I come home. #1 - master film photography. You can know digital ISO's, apertures and shutter speeds as well as you know your own name but I'm finding film to be a different ball game. This is a good thing as I'm the type to need a challenge to feel satisfied.

It's just before midnight

I so clearly remember the way I felt this night so no matter how bland the photo is I will always be drawn to it.
There was a tangible calmness in the air and I felt comfortable being alone...yet wanted so much more.
Full moons have a profound effect on my state of mind.

Peter Markwick is an artist. He lives in Fairfield, spends his days in Erskinville, has redesigned the Australian AND New Zealand flags and apparently has two good looking sons who would give me a good workout...one's a personal trainer. He believes divorce is better than murder and has a diverse artistic portfolio which, to my understanding, he never leaves the house without. Peter, it was a pleasure to meet you.

I guess she would be classified as my muse. Smiles, laughs, talks, thinks, does nothing, does something, cracks jokes, moves, stands still, jumps, lays down, gets her gear off (ha) without me even asking.
Always looking for new faces.
Alice Dellal is #1 on my list of humans my camera wants to make love to, but have an inkling that's not going to happen...volunteer yourself to be my Alice. You know you want to

I have a sister who is a masterchef and a family who likes to spend time sitting around a table enjoying each others company & the fruits of her labour. That's my Nanna, and that's my Mum in the white dress and ugg boots, smiling for a photo I wasn't taking of her...bless.
